One year later, 'Crazy Heart' still winning awards

HollywoodNews.com: The charming, Jeff Bridges-starring indie film “Crazy Heart” is still picking up awards one year after its victorious night at the 2010 Academy Awards. In a pre-telecast ceremony Sunday afternoon, Crazy Heart picked up two Grammys: one for best compilation soundtrack and the other for best song written for motion picture, television or other visual media. Singer-songwriter Ryan Bingham, who won the best original song Oscar nearly one year ago for “The Weary Kind,” was on hand to accept the Grammy. Bingham co-wrote the track with music producer T Bone Burnett, who also served as a producer on Crazy Heart. According to the LA Times, Bingham told reporters that the award recognition for “The Weary Kind” has significantly boosted his musical career: “Our music has been exposed to people who wouldn’t have heard it before this film,” he said.
